Kief is made by collecting the dried resin glands—trichomes—from cannabis plants to produce a powder of “cannabis crystals.” Pressure it and kief becomes hash.
Cannabis is soaked in a solvent to extract the cannabinoids and terpenes. The extract is then purged using pressure and heat, and finally whipped into a sticky, waxy concentrate.
